Welcome to Public Relations Society of India
Established in 1958 to promote the recognition of public relations as a profession, the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) has completed 61 years of commendable service in the cause of Public Relations. Indeed, five decades in the history of a professional body like the PRSI marks an important landmark which testifies that public relations has come of age in India. The PRSI is also affiliated to the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, an international organization of PR professionals. With this, PRSI has entered the global era.
Since 1968, PRSI has organized 40 All India Public Relations Conferences in different parts of the country with different themes. These conferences not only updated the knowledge of public relations practitioners but also gave a great fillip to its credit. PRSI celebrated its Golden Jubilee Year in 2008 as a mark of completion of 50 years in the history of the professional body. The International PR Conference held in Mauritius in August 2008 with the theme: “Public Relations in the Emerging Global Village” was a part of Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
